Chief's Message

chief-e1383266411906-400x533 Let me be the first to welcome and thank you for visiting the Berkeley Township Police Department website.
I hope you find the website to be user friendly and informative. Many recent events have shown the importance of timely communications between the Police Department and the residents of Berkeley Township, and as a result, the Berkeley Township Police Department has strived to always keep our residents informed on pertinent matters. To add to this, over the past year we have launched a reverse 9-1-1 system called Code Red, a Facebook page, and the Nixle Notification program which allows you to sign up for important alert information. We encourage all of you to sign up for these free and informative sites.

With public safety and citizen communication being our primary goals with this website, we also felt it was imperative to facilitate our residents with certain functions. This website allows you access to printable firearms application as well as reportable state Motor Vehicle Crash forms. In the future we plan to implement online reporting for certain criminal offenses.
A Crime Blotter will also soon be available documenting crimes and events in your neighborhood.

In Police work, the participation and cooperation of our citizens is vital for solving cases. Tips and confidential information from our residents have been invaluable to this agency, and maintaining that community involvement is a priority for me. I encourage you to report suspicious activity either through this website or by calling our TIP line at 732-341-1132 x611. All calls or emails are treated with confidentiality. You can remain anonymous, and remember you play a key part in keeping Berkeley Township safe.

As the times change and this Township grows it is our goal to change and grow with them. We will continue to add services and features to this site, and I encourage you to share any ideas and suggestion to make this website even more effective. The men and woman of the Berkeley Township Police Department are here for you, and continue to proudly serve our great community.

Regards,

Karin DiMichele
