Berkeley Township's Sanitation and Recycling is a division within the Public Works Department. For inquiries pertaining to trash/recycling, please contact Public Works.

Persons with Disability Information

If you are a person with a disability and need assistance getting your trash and recycling cans to the curb, let us help you!

  • Please provide a copy of your Person with a Disability Identification Card issued to you by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.
  • Fax, email, or stop by the Public Works office with the proper documentation.
  • We will not accept Handicap Placards.
  • You must renew upon the expiration date found on your card.

Doctor's notes will no longer be accepted.

Open to residents with proof (Valid Driver’s License with Berkeley Address, tax bill, or recent utility bill).

  • Monday through Friday, between 7 am and 3 pm.
  • Saturday between 8 am and Noon
  • Closed Sundays

Collection of commingles, newspaper, cardboard, tires, junk mail, metal items / appliances, leaves, hard plastic, paint cans, shrink wrap, and electronics.
