Keys to a Successful Zoom Virtual Court Appearance

  • Set up in a closed room with no other noise or people.
  • Connect to the meeting using your first and last name.
  • Be sure to allow all connections to audio or video by Zoom.
  • If you are not successful with video, be prepared to call in to one of the phone numbers listed with the Zoom meeting information listed.

Note: As per AOC rules, audio and video recording of the proceedings is strictly prohibited. If you would like a copy of the proceeding, you can fill out a Judiciary Records Request Form (PDF).

If you are not a listed party in a specific case, you must submit a request in writing for approval to appear at a virtual hearing. Please send all requests to Berkeley Court.

Defendants may continue to make payments for parking, traffic, and criminal time-payment matters through the municipal court’s online payment website.

Citizen Complaints

The Court accepts citizen complaints between the hours of 8:30 am and 3 pm, except on days when the Court is in session. Please complete the following forms and contact the court to schedule a time to bring your paperwork to the violation's bureau.

Adjournment Policy

In order to adhere to the Superior Court of New Jersey Ocean Vicinage policy regarding adjournments, the court requires that all requests for adjournment be made in writing at least four business days prior to the scheduled court date, except in cases of a bona fide emergency. All requests should have backup documentation enclosed as appropriate. In the event of a disparity between the date / time on a summons and the date / time provided in the trial notice, then the listing set forth on the trial notice shall prevail. All requests can be faxed to the Court at 732-240-0984.

The court accepts cash / check / money orders / Visa, and Mastercard. You can pay by phone, at the violation bureau, or via mail.

Directions to Berkeley Township Municipal Court

From Parkway Northbound, take exit 77 and at the light make a left onto Pinewald-Keswick Road, continue about 2 miles, and on the left-hand side is the Police Building, in which the Court is located.

From Parkway Southbound, take exit 77, make a left off the exit onto Double Trouble Road. At the first (and only) light, make a right onto Pinewald-Keswick Rd. Continue about a mile, and the Police Building, in which the Court is located, is the second building on the left.
